If I make it, I wont be the quickest door car. We wont have it finished in time. hasnt gone to the powder coater yet. Andy and Jack are almost done with the front end suspension and other things like mounting the front cap, mounting the dry sump tank etc. I will be a rolling chassis with motor by Bash time, but not yet ready to make passes.
Probaby make it's first passes up here in Indy Mid summer.
Carol ( Carter ) says the motor should be worth approx 2500 HP though, so we are hoping for some mid 6's
We will see.

Re: 2011 BBF Bash Quickest Door Car
I doubt if we will make it to the Bash this year. We have a points race at Indy the same weekend. Judy and I really enjoy the hospitality that the Oakley family and Lem provide at the Bash. We hate to miss the Bash and the people at the Bash.
As most of you know, we struggled at the first Bash we participated in. The transition from the starting pad and the pavement is during the 1-2 gear change for us. Tires would unload in the gap between the two. We finally learned how to get down under power.
Last year we went 5.32 at the bash to win the Door Car award. We really are honored. Judy has the plaque Damon gave me hanging in her office.
Our car has a 418 Windsor unit in it with a clutch. One carb, no spray or poo like that. 25 year old car too. Most of you guys ARE faster than us. We won the award last year because Phillip does a spectacular job with the track and our data logger has taught has how to make good runs on a great track. Long story short, automatics SUCK like chevies and Phillip makes his track work.
