engine porn
from pro-systems
Trick and Mansweto from Australia fired up their 694 c.i. Ford Hemi last night. The SV1 equipped Hemi made 1502 h.p.!! Tricky said theres more power in the program as they overloaded the exhaust flow capabilities of the dyno room. The Darin Morgan designed Profiler heads flowed 659 cfm!! Man those Trick/Mansweto guys can make some power...BUT there is still about 1000 h.p. of Nitrous coming next.

Thanks Nick, I never realized Profiler was doing hemi heads. Huge flow numbers!

Re: engine porn
2.16 hp/ci and 2.28hp/cfm on the heads. Very respectable.

Re: engine porn
Hey guys,
I was on the phone this morning with both Darin Morgan and then with Micheal Green from Pro-Filer, however it was about other head related business. Let me make a correction if I may in regards to the cylinder heads. Those heads pictured are the Robert's Design hemi heads, and they are currently sold through C&C Motorsports. They used to be sold by Ford Racing through RDI in North Carolina which is now closed. For those of you who attended the first Ford Bash, Jon Kaase had one of these IHRA style heads on display and talked about it during our Sunday morning Tech Seminar under the tent. They are NOT made by Pro-Filer.
The current NHRA Ford Pro Stock heads, of which there are two designs, a wedge and a hemi, are cast by HTC, the parent company of Pro-Filer, but only available through Ford Racing. Larry Morgan's NHRA Ford pro stocker uses a set of them. We had some of the current NHRA Pro Stock parts on display at our Jan. 2010 Winter Tech Seminar at Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute.
In regards to the heads in the picture, I am assuming that Darin Morgan did the porting and flow testing on them, but again they are a Robert's Design hemi and the last I heard were being cast out in California. Maybe somebody has an update on that.
Also as a side note, Darin Morgan has changed jobs and moved back to Reher-Morrison in Texas.
Hope this helps,
Charlie Evans

Re: engine porn
Thanks for the clarification Charlie, I thought those looked like the B441 heads, but I didn't want to argue the point. Things change quickly and I have a hard time staying ahead of who is building what! Still very nice flow numbers for an "old" head!...

Re: engine porn
Look at the distance from the timing cover to the deck. Looks just like my A460.

Re: engine porn
I'm not sure how I missed this thread when it was originally posted. That engine ended up powering the Trick and Mansweto Capri to a Pro Street Unblown record of 6.97 @ 198. A record which may never be beaten.
Just to clarify, Darrin Morgan never touched, flowed or tested these heads. The heads and intake were designed and machined by T & M.
The block is an LSM lightened 10.3 Premier block. 4.7 in bore, 5 in stroke.
