Had block work done and dowels are missing now i need a set and was wondering if i had to order a set or if it something i could pick up in my local part store.

I went to Advance and Auto Zone they say they can't get them.

These parts stores now days are worthless, call Lem at BFevans ford and get some

Any automotive machine shop should have them. Should being the key word.

The head dowels are around .735" dia. on my engine. I make my own instead of using the split deals. I tap the center with a 5/8-18 tap so I can get them out easily.

Sorry........ .500" is the bell dowels....not the head dowels.
