Blake, you did a fine job, and there is way more to this engine than the sum of the parts. Congrats to all who did this fine job, and without your time, knowlege, and hard earned money trying to push the envelope like this, we would never get anywhere with our engines.

Those are really good numbers, very nice build.
I knew you were going to be very close to the 1000hp with all the effort you and your crew put into that thing.
Good job.

Blake can you go into some detail on that "1 off " victor intake and did you have time to test the new TFS Mafia deal on there ?

Bruno ... I've never seen the finished product but the intake we talked about, over a year ago on the evening of the Ford Swap Meet was to try and make a Victor 460 plenum & runners to be similar to that of a NASCAR "D453" intake.
Whatever Blake ended-up doing it must have worked.

Nick I didn't have time to test the TFS intake.
The manifold has the average runner lengths to a point where it makes the engine peak at 7200 rpm. Doing this also added plenum area which I think an engine of this size needed. The runner entry's have a generous radius on all eight and are port matched with a d shape to the head.
I increased the cross sectional area of each runner too. Mainly with more taper into the plenum. Lots of welding.
I have been studying this for well over a year. Jay Cornell was a big help to me on the intake.
I figured I had enough air flow to reach the 1000 hp mark, as a A head will do it at 430 cfm and I put enough cam in it to do it, so I figured if the intake would let the engine get to the rpm needed to make the number , It would be there.

It looks like TFS is the only company that gives a crap about our engines, and they have a new one. Maybe Kaase will show an interest

are those a/f ratios right?
I don't have a whole lot of experience, but do those seem a little on the lean side?
