They are correct per the application.BigBlockRanger wrote:are those a/f ratios right?
I don't have a whole lot of experience, but do those seem a little on the lean side?

This is real gas not pump swill which needs to be richer.

Dave Freelander will post the dyno sheet for me here in a little bit.
The engine is wet , the rings never took a seat the best vacuum we saw was 4 lb's @7200.
It made 1003 hp @7200 and 810 Tq @ 6100 rpm. I don't think if gave up much torque to get the hp.
Over 800 ft lb from 5600 to 6400 rpm.
Hats off to Lem and Phillip Oakley, for sticking with me and helping tune the engine. They both have unbelievable tuning skills , such a wealth of knowledge.
I cant wait to get it in the car.
Wow! Very impressive. Makes me want to throw more carb and port the heads next time around. Your torque is 28 ft-lbs higher then mine AND 1000 rpm higher! And, like you mentioned, it was only pulling 4lbs of vacuum---and not the best conditions either. Awesome job to everyone involved!

That is a miss print on the carb size, it was a QFX 1250 Quick fuel I just noticed it................
Blake ... is that really 4 negative POUNDS like everyone keeps saying or is it Inches of Mercury vacuum ?
Re: New bullet 1003 hp 810 tq P51

Re: New bullet 1003 hp 810 tq P51
Decided to re-ring the engine, the rings never seated on the dyno. I am afraid I added the Schaeffer oil on the dyno to quick and the rings never took a seat. That was the reason for the low vacuum readings. I thought about just putting regular oil back in with a quart of trans fluid and running it hoping they would seat later.
But a good friend talked me into going on and fixing it right while the engine was out of the car. So it should be long blocked tonight or maybe even completed if the rings arrive today.
Everything looked great in the bottom end............
May have some track times after the 21st .............

Thanks Dan, As much crank case pressure as it had, it would be a pisser if it puked some oil under the tires at a buck fifty before the rings seated
The bore looked good after the new hone job.
