FANCY Blake with a JW Bell on his engine break in stand
I just spoke with the SNAKE and OMFG!!!!!
That's all I'm sayin' about that....
Good Luck Blake and congrats on another epic engine build! I'd sure like to borrow your engine for the BBF Bash so I can drag the bumper

Hey Blake ... someone is gonna tell you that you are lying or are embellishing the numbers or the correction factors weren't right or it is a very happy dyno or a bunch of other stuff that an envious wanna be could think of.
I have NO idea what the numbers are/were however, I wouldn't blame him at all if he simply kept the whole outcome to himself. Through testing of my own, I already know that some manifold changes he made WILL work on a big block Ford; especially if downstairs torque is less important.
R P M times that torque divided by 5252 equals HORSEPOWER so, if you make equal torque at a higher RPM the horsepower number WILL be more.

Just got in from the dyno shop. Blake's engine is "a man",,,,, and Oakley's Quick Fuel carbs are the best in the world, period. He's on his way back to Tennessee with it now and it is pouring down rain. We had severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings earlier this afternoon, and another round is susposed to hit in about 5 hours.

Re: New bullet 1003 hp 810 tq P51
Sorry if I didn't get to everybody yesterday on the phone, but I was very busy in the dyno cell. I didn't make any out going but a couple of out going calls.
Dave Freelander will post the dyno sheet for me here in a little bit.
The engine is wet , the rings never took a seat the best vacuum we saw was 4 lb's @7200.
It made 1003 hp @7200 and 810 Tq @ 6100 rpm. I don't think if gave up much torque to get the hp.
Over 800 ft lb from 5600 to 6400 rpm.
Hats off to Lem and Phillip Oakley, for sticking with me and helping tune the engine. They both have unbelievable tuning skills , such a wealth of knowledge.
I cant wait to get it in the car.

Randy I am going to post the info anyway, for the guys that truly appreciate the information. I will just invite the naysayers to follow me to the track and watch it and weigh it.
I don't think anybody doubts the last engines numbers now.

If snake heeds more tq [he does not] he can adj. the vaves or adv. the cam. The ring seal may have been better before the green stuff went in.
It should be noted that this engine was dynoed during sever weather conditions.......not be best for best power results.

Good job Blake!!! I'm glad this thing is together and makin some good numbers.I gotta say something to all the ones who have followed this build. This build took a little longer than what Blake wanted it to.I talk/text Blake numerous times throughout a normal day as others do.We work on something together at least once a week.It never fails that someone "needs" something from him.Whether it's work related, car, farming or family. It doesn't matter,it'll happen. It really don't matter what it is,he always takes the time to stop and help others. This is one of the reasons it's took so long to get this thing together, but I garuntee you he won't change.I consider Blake a true and honest friend, not having to prove anything to anyone, and I really appreciate your knowledge about cars and life that you've shared with me.For those of you who have never met Blake, hope you will soon. You'll be hard pressed to find a better one. That's all I have to say about that. ....... Fly on brother
