We have a couple of PTC convertors for Krisse's 598 TFS A-460 headed engine, that were custon built based on the dyno sheets we sent them. I suspect they are both tighter than yours and the smaller one is out of the car now. If you want to borrow it for testing purposes, call Todd or Gail Lawyer.

Looks like it's still hanging the wheels real good. Wonder what it'll do off the line with a tighter converter.

Try the hygard and see if the mph comes up some, its a cheap lazy way to get an idea to seeif that's what it wants.
I sure wouldn't give up much of that 60' for some mph though...............

If you look at the dyno sheet on page 6, it holds almost 800 ft lb of torque from 5500 to 6500 rpm, so I think I might be able to tighten the converter enough to get the mph it should be running and not lose any 60 ft.
The hytran fluid will confirm this I think, I have 5 gallon in the shop....... (and it's green)
I have not put the green oil in the engine yet, but it's coming soon.

Wish I would've got some video when you left at 4000 off the line. That was an awesome pass.I told Blake,"that was a good piece of driving you did there".Blake said,"man I couldn't see anything but the lights for the first 120 feet" .I had a great time at the track.Whitefield made some killer passes in his car as well.I drove a good friends 408W powered 5 speed mustang. It was a great night of track time with all my closest friends. Can't wait till bowling green to do it all over again! --- RED

Blake I know yours is a lot more than mine ,but after we talked yesterday . I got my time tickets out from when I was running my 9.5"4500 and my 60ft times are better with it and my mph is 1 mph faster than with this 5500 8" converter. 60ft times at the valley ( slick track ) are 1.46 average and at huntsville (sticky track) 1.49 was the best at 101.33 verses 102.79 mph.
I think we both need a converter update or change! Just my two cents
I plan on heading back to Huntsville this comming Friday night ! you In? taking Micks Lightning Too!

Thanks Red I had a blast with you guys too, Glenn couldn't get over you driving his car that much faster than he did.................
I think your right Denero, a 5.52 should be around a 8.61. If I can get it to leave like it should I think it will run some 40,s 1/8 mile

New best time 5.41 1.200 60 ft and upper 127 mph. 8.51 1.20 60 and 156 mph 1/4 mile.
I finally got the front end to stay down by installing adjustable Strange front struts.
I made two adjustments on the leave rpm and strut settings but got called to first round and never got to really get after it, may be this weekend I can finish tweaking on it and drop the 60's some more.
There are some pics and vids of it on Charlies post in general discussion (Snake at Bowling green).................
