Kasse oil pump..... I would never do a wet sump with in pan pump without one..

Unless you already have the Fluid Damper I would get an ATI or Innovators West.

Also, you can call Adney on the crank order and he can put a shorter Boss 429 style snout on the crank for cheap. Stronger than having the damper hung way out here.

MSD distributor, but a Duraspark will work as well, just not as easy to adjust.

Also, take a look at the build on my 598. Similar to yours except mine is NA, alky injected:

One item that jumped out was the JW wheel. This engine will produce over 1000 HP without any power adders. The JW wheel will have a short life span, especially if you have a heavy car.
I reccomend the new CSR aluminum flexplate.
I agree that a Danny Bee would be a nice addition. Don't scrimp on the oil pump and pan. If you choose an aggressive cam, you may want to bush the lifter bores.
Big pushrods are good. Consider 1/2".......They require a little clearancing work but the rewards are worth it.
You will like this engine. It will find any weak component in your trans, axle and suspension.
Ok.....now I will be quiet.
Keith!

One more thought.
If Charlie tries to sell you a big ol' set of titanium intake valves, go ahead and get them....

aside from the crank rods and pistons every thing i have bought has been used. ive been to a ton of swap meets and have bought a lot of parts from members on 460 ford.com. alot of the parts i bought were package deals, heads, rockers, valve covers and studs all came together as an example. i am trying to buy the best parts i can afford, sometimes there just not new...lol. its taken awhile to come up with what i have but i think it will be worth the wait. thanks to everyone for there input and suggestions. - cobra tom

Nothing wrong with investing in used parts. I wouldn't have the engine I have now if I had to buy it all new. Cool

I didn't think anyone was using Fluid dampers anymore ?

On the parts... MSD crank trigger, Danny Bee

7/16th push rods at the least.

Like G Code said.........don't skimp on the pushrods. 7/16" x .165" wall would be good.

There's nothing wrong w/chain Rolling Eyes Belt drive is just easier for the dyno or you want too make a quick change.

I'd use the 80 dollar chain over the 40 dollar unit for sure though..................

Honestly I'd rather do 2 guns with a belt drive over 3 with a chain........there are some other benefits to a belt drive other than ease of cam timing adjustments on the dyno etc.
