Oil Filter Adapter
While supplies last.
Allows the use of larger oil filter ( Fram HP-6 or Wix 51222R) for less restriction. Adapter replaces oil filter fitting, and screws into the block. Plate with o-ring seals against oil filter boss, New filter seals against plate.
Adapter has 1 1/2 -12 thread on filter side.
$25 includes shipping.

Re: Oil Filter Adapter
The hex piece is used to install the adapter. The adapter has a hex on the inside.
I'll measure the filter when I go to the shop later..

No problem "Big Daddy"!
I also forgot to add they can use the Wix 573003R which has a littler higher Max flow rating (30GPM) as compared to the 51222R (28 GPM). Both have a by-pass valve setting of 18-22 psi. Same dia. and length.

What is the small thread size?
If it's 3/4-16 I'll take one. I sent you an email too - thanks in advance for the info.

Mikey, the thread in the block is 1-1/16" x 12.
Re: Oil Filter Adapter
The PH8A filter thread is 3/4-16, so you're telling me it's not the same on the block side?

Look at the picture of the parts posted on the previous page. The big side goes into the block, the small side goes into the filter.

Re: Oil Filter Adapter
The HP6 thread size is 1 1/2-12. So the filter side should be the bigger end.
I have an HP6 setup with two cases of filters that I couldn't sell, so I'm just going to use it on my Dodge V10 truck. Unless it's different from all the other mopars, the block side fitting is 3/4-16, so this won't work. Since both Fords and Mopars use the same filters I was hoping the block side fitting would be the same. That's an awesome adapter - wish I could use it.

Re: Oil Filter Adapter
Correct me if I'm wrong Mikey but maybe this will clear up some of the confusion.
