Is there enough material there to re-thread the little end to 3/4-16? Just a thought.

Why would you want to re-thread the small end to 3/4-16? Are you using a remote filter setup that has a 3/4-16 nipple for the filter to screw on?

The stock filter adapter is threaded as 3/4-16. There's plenty of space, so I would be able to run the HP6 in the factory location without any of the remote garbage.

All you would have to do is remove this stock piece from your block and screw Mikey's piece in its place.

Doug,

From what I'm getting, he's not mounting the HP-6 on a Ford motor, but a Dodge

Wirtz.. there is not enough material to rethread the current adapter.
But, could you not use it as a model, to have what you need made ?? i.e.. change the small end thread ?

Good point - I could probably weld up a steel version that would work with the ring. The ring is really the important part. I sent you a PM.
