Re: vacuum pump ?
You just have to make them fit basically, your breather tank should be below the pump exhaust. I mounted my breather outside of the radiator support inside my nose.
Re: vacuum pump ?
Bruno,
I would like to add that if you use a vacuum regulator, it's best to put it in the vacuum line going to the engine and not on the engine anywhere. This is what Star Machine told me. All of their pumps have the vacuum regulator built on the pump except the sportsman model. They say if the vacuum relief valve opens and it's on the engine somewhere, oil will be sucked into the pump.

Re: vacuum pump ?
Good deal! I haven't order a pump for mine yet. The dyno had it's own pump. Now that I know how it runs with and without, I'm going to wait until I get to the track and get it all ironed out to see if I need the extra power. It may scare the crap out of me like it is!

Re: vacuum pump ?
I just installed a Aerospace pump on mine and the relief is on the pump itself on the intake side. I got pretty lucky where I could just bolt it to the motorplate and used the smallest spacer and it lined up. I'm actually thinking about cutting the mandrel down and re tapping it so I have a little more radiator clearance.bruno wrote:David Willingham wrote:Bruno,

Re: vacuum pump ?
Tnat looks like it should work fine. After you get the mandrel on you can use aluminum bushings to get pulley alignment. Looks good. Does your alternator go on the same side? I would try to lower the tank a tad, but that's up to you. Don't forget to take the tape off those super secret heads before you run it, I would hat to see it catch fire, or be hard to remove after you've cooked it on...bruno wrote:mocking things up ....

Don't take that tape off Nick, from what i've been told, there's a good chance it could scatter and the tape will hold the pieces together.

I got to talk to him last night and he is swamped with work. Did you leave a message? If you did he will call you.
