Air/Fuel meter
I was given a brand new Autometer 4375 air/fuel gauge a while back and am debating about adding it and another one (one for each header) to the gauge cluster when I start cutting holes. Do you guys think they would be helpful or a waste of time for an alky motor? I intend to mount a gopro camera to record the gauge's during runs as a tool to monitor/record whats going on with the motor.
Also got to play a little bit last night with my new body saw. Night and day difference over the cheap HF piece of crap I bought last winter. It is true you get what you pay for...

hope this helps
Are you going to have and pipe after the header? I am a fan of a dual wide-band gauge setup. But that is a narrow-band gauge. I dont believe it would benefit you.
From Autometer site
A narrow band O2 sensor is only able to tell a computer (or gauge, for that matter) whether an engine is operating above or below a 14.7:1 air/fuel ratio.
Wide Band O2 Sensors where developed in the early ‘90s as vehicle manufacturers began looking to obtain air/fuel ratio information under all circumstances. This ranged from WOT to varying ratios. High performance vehicle tuners discovered that wide-band O2 sensors are very helpful when accurate air/fuel ratio readings are required to maximize power, reliability, and mileage on modified vehicles
The reason I question the length of pipe after the header is that you will get false readings from the exhaust pulse sucking oxygen back in the exhaust. If you are running a foot or more of pipe you may not have a problem with just one sensor. I have been researching this for a while now.

Alan,
Did you have to cut the bed floor to make the four link work or was that done for other reasons ? Have a truck I doing the same on and was just wondering.

I cut the bed to shave weight. I'm going to put an aluminum floor back in
Made a little trip to Chi-Town today
Santa wouldn't deliver this present, so I had to make a run to Chicago today.

Re: 1995 F150 pro Street project thread
Not a lot has been happening. Been working 3 jobs to come up with the cash to finish the project. After letting the front clip cure for 48hrs in the heated shop, I moved it out and moved the chassis back in and painted the firewall. Now, I can set the motor in when I get the front plate from Keith Fulp. I'm the meantime I have plenty of other things to do on it to keep me busy lol

Here is a shot of the firewall just after removing the masking paper. This, I think, give a nicer shot of the color.

The firewall look clean Alan.
I can give you my KFM front plate if Keiths behind.
You know they hibernate when it's like 40 degrees down there

Thanks Mike, Keith left on a month vacation just after I sent him the cad file. He'll be back later this month. It's not a big deal because I have a lot of other stuff to do to keep me busy lol. I started working on the inside last night and should have the dash mounted and gauges installed within the week.
Re: 1995 F150 pro Street project thread
Took a couple days off and got to spend one in the shop. Installed the x brace, drivers door bar and rocker bars under the cab. Also have the dash mounted in and holes cut for the gauges, shifter and rocker switches. We got the brake lines ran and was going to get the engine installed but a pesky brake line adapter was leaking and the time it took to fix shot the rest of my day.
Also found time to install a late Christmas present.... With the 1" line to 1/2" down legs, I shouldn't have a problem supplying the air tools with no waiting.

Re: 1995 F150 pro Street project thread
Don't have any huge update pics to post, but the engine is home and Saturday I'll have Keith's motor plate installed. Also have received several packages this week, so I'll be hard at it this next week. It was supposed to go up to Maddog to get the headers made next week, but Mark pushed me back a week. I'll try to get some updated photos this week.
Re: 1995 F150 pro Street project thread
The truck's lookin' good Alan. I have the same air compressor and love it. Plenty of air and it's not too noisy.

Re: 1995 F150 pro Street project thread
In a couple weeks, anyone will be able to order 2-1/4 into 4 headers for their 80's and 90's ford big block trucks. A big thanks to Maddog headers for working with me. I took my rod up to be the prototype..

Alan,
Nice project and nice work. I see a lot of Truck Puller engineering. Brings back memories when Dad and I used to truck pull
