SN95 Race weight?
Looking for a rough idea where I am at for weight.
1994 Mustang completely gutted interior has door panels and dash pad doors are gutted (no crash bars or window mechanisms), one aluminum Kirkey drag seat, 10 point mild steel cage, through the floor subframe connectors with outriggers, steel bumpers brackets and foam removed front and rear, griffin 19x31" radiator, 3 gallon poly cell with foam and 1000 CCA battery in trunk, parachute and brackets, lexan front windshield, lexan side windows with steel frame, Tunnel rammed dual dominator A-headed 523 with C-6, 9" (probably a nodular iron center section with spool).
Thanks ahead of time.

I'm with him.... Over 3250#, the SN95's are heavier than the Fox Bodies.

3100 w/o driver sounds about right to me for a BBF combo.

Complete UPR front suspension with coil overs, fiberglass hood and pro stock scoop, the only glass left are quarter windows and rear window and crash bars are removed from doors.

Re: SN95 Race weight?
Since you are putting a cage in it take all the reinforcment out of the roof. There is some lbs just in that. Is the factory dash in it? There is a huge crash bar in the dash. I think is 4or 5" round tube.

Nutri-systems?
Seriously, tho, if you don't have access to a good set of scales, I'd take it to a local scrapyard and ask them to weigh the front and rear axles separately. (Ours does it for free for racers. I guess they figure we make more than our share of scrap.) Then you can get a better idea of what needs to go/stay. If you're serious about your weight goals, it sounds like some surgery may be in order. As previously mentioned, SN95's are not known for being particularly svelte.
BTW, What wheels & tires are on it? Steel wheels and radial tires are HEAVY.

Re: SN95 Race weight?
The sound deadener is all gone as is the seam sealer, the only part left of the original dash is the outer cover the cage is already in it steel bumpers and brackets are all gone, any brackets not needed are gone. I even took all that tar like crap off of the floors and firewall.

Re: SN95 Race weight?
Sounds like you're running out of stuff to lose. Steel floors and firewall could be replaced with lightweight aluminum, but may require adding more tubing. Lots of work, too.
I know you don't want to hear this, but C6's are chubby, too.

Weld Pro Stars 15x10 with 3055S and tubes and 15x3 1/2 with 26" ET Drags on front. Yeah I know the C6 is portly lol.
The car will be getting scaled was just looking for a rough idea before the car gets far enough to do that. Looks like it will need some glass parts. So far only front clump I found was extended and that won't work for the classes I plan on running.

Re: SN95 Race weight?
Not on a ss small tire car. He will need the stability. I get what your saying but it wikl do more harm than good ib his set up.
Re: SN95 Race weight?
I will be keeping the tubes Jason told me several times last year about my tires and I didn't listen. Him and Tony both said 3055S with a tube so that is what I am doing. Last year Jason kept saying my sidewalls were shot and I didn't listen but when I was loading the truck up after my front pump went out the sidewalls were ripped all the way around on both tires so I should of listened could have been very bad if the tires had blown that pass as I was going 140 at the 1000'.
