you can cut that lower radiator support out and the bumper support hangers as well.it dosent take mutch to hold the front bumper cover on lol.on the radiator i welded 2 tabs on each side and used some 1/2in square tubeing welded in to hang the radiator on.in the rear wheel well their is a fender support that will save you about 4lbs ea.everything possable on my car is cromemoly.i could save some weight takeing out the factory glass but i like it.i hate the way the plastic scratches and looks fugly after while.its good to take weight off the frontend on these cars with the bb.everything else to save weight you did is what i did.

I removed all the brackets and such in the rear and believe I also removed the supports you are talking about Smile. The only thing holding on my front fascia is the fiberglass that the headlights mount to and the bolts that go through the fenders. One thing that surprised me was how much them rubber dampers behind the rear wheels weighed with the brackets. When I got this car the windshield and door windows and motors were already removed hence the reason I plan on using lexan.

That gives me some hope!

I may have to see if I can borrow a plasma cutter for a few hours to get out body bracing inside the car.

Is the 10 point cage in the car already? If not you could go with a Chrome Moly cage for less weight. My buddy's 95 Mustang that passed away is 2,800 lbs. with no driver but has a 10 point Chrome Moly Cage.

Later Mark.
