PG pump question
Ive got a stock pg case here w one of the lower pump mounting bosses that's broken ( approx 5 oclock ) and wont take a bolt. Im thinking it might of been over-tightened while mounting the ultra bell.
What are the chances the pump will leak if I put it together wo. that bolt?

You are talking about a bolt hole that is stripped for the front pump ?

trash the case.
the case here of Dave C's had a helicoil in every bolthole and the lower one had the boss broke out as well.

Re: PG pump question
uses both, and there is a seal under the bolt head also.
case is junk unless you wanna try welding it.
one less both also to hold the ultrabell on if your going that route.

Thanks guys, I'm not gonna mess w trying to weld it (although I may keep it around for a spare)
I think now is probably the right time to step up to the JW case anyways...

Re: PG pump question
I have 3 jw ultra cases here for several builds i have going on, the stock case will hold a lot of power but after you mess w the jw there is no comparison in strength between the 2.

Re: PG pump question
i put more than that through a stock case. its not so much the power that breaks um but how they are mounted in the chassis.

I've got a motor and mid plate....and plan on supporting the tail of the trans w a light crossmember.

Re: PG pump question
if you must run a crossmember use a factory rubber mount, locktight the nuts, run um up snug then back off a hair.
