100,000+ Mile engine

Ok since my daily driver 2000 model truck just rolled over 200,000 miles I have been kicking around the thought of can we build a big block to hit the 200,00 mile mark?

Let's consider it's an occasional daily driven 4wd truck. Not abused but enjoyed. Something you can get in and drive to work anytime you chose. You use it to go camping in out of way places. You wouldn't be worried about taking it cross country.

A little bit about the drivetrain. ZF5 5 speed transmission 35 inch tires and either 3.73 or 4.11 gears.

What would it take? How would you build it? What components?

I have had several that went 3-400, 000 with nothing more than routine maintenence and a valve job at about 200, 000.

Yeah, shouldn't be an issue, if longevity was my goal, a hydraulic cam and possibly EFI or really staying on top of tune would be key.

my old 84 f250  6,9    650,000  went thru  INJ pump every 100,000 that's it
my old 95 ranger 4.0  780,000
