Wassup guy's,,, I know it's been a while!

This engine will be going in my street rod I'm building. It's not a daily driver, just a weekend and show cruiser. I'm looking for some to build it completely from the pan up. Thinking a complete A-460 engine or a basic scj build. Who would be interested in building this engine for me and what would the ball park price be?

The only goals for the engine I have, is pump gas, sound good and look good! Hp numbers are the goal as a plain 460 with iron heads would have enough power. I might even be interested in a iron head 460 as long as it will sound good.

How fast you want to go? 

What's your realistic budget?

I have a 521 sitting around we may be able to work a deal on if your interested.

There is no time or hp figure goals. It's life will be to cruise around and sound good pulling into shows and sound good at stop lights. I'm not 100% sure on the budget, just depends on what I get. I figure it would need to be a better price than just buying a crate engine.

I have a old 460 sitting in the shop that would work, but I don't feel like building another engine. I always snowball everything I get my hands into.

Wellfirst thing...... Come up with a full plan before you but a single part and get the money to do it before you go nuts buying stuff. Buy it all at one time. It's easier to stay focused.

And stick with the plan and budget.

I was going to have a 300 inline 6 rebuilt but it's beginning to become a headache. If I just threw a 460 in it would be more than enough power to play with. I just can't except a auto parts store rebuilt as it wouldn't give me the idle sound I'm looking for. Even if you put a big cam in a stock 460 it will just sound like a stock 460 with to big of a camshaft.

What I actually need is something like the last engine I built. 570+cu iron heads, aluminum intake so I don't have to spend money on custom headers.

How much you want for the 521?

Is there anyone else out there that has some old race engines that need a fresh?

Yeah the whole engine selection thing has been a headache. I have a choice between inline 6, 302, 351 or 460. I wanted to stay with a SBF and would be some what cheaper than the bbf.

Find a good running 351 and an auto to swap it in.

Doug R. had a decent looking 351W with some aluminum heads for sale

i have a fresh 408 windsor aluminum heads complete carb to pan $4000
it does have some compression though 12.5-1
just throwin it out there.

I'm switching out a 466 w/nice cam etc. and replacing it w/nice 351w for a guy in Charleston WVA. next week. The 466 will be For Sale if you might be interested. I took a ride in the 71 Mustang that its in now.It seems to be real strong. It was hot out Sat. when we drove it for about 30 min. and it never got past 190*. Holds good OP hot and idling.

You have probably seen the add but I have a fairly fresh 466 pump gas motor for sale in the auction block got a pretty good rumble to it.
