How do you go about running a 208 C transfer case up side down???
Ive snapped a couple 208f case housings. and was wondering. how much stronger is the 208c? and what does it take to put it on a C6? I have bolt on drive shafts.. no slip shaft on my current build... here is a question... could you use the front case half off the 208c on a 208f?? THanks

first off, you need to either change your trans output shaft to mate to the chevy 208 or change the input of the chevy 208 to match your ford output. Next, most of the guys that run the chevy 208 upside down are running them gutted and locked into the high side. If you plan to run it on the low side, it may not work right due to lack of oiling. with the gutted version, all you det is a little oil in the nose that splashes up on the chain.
As for strength, they are really the same, but the advantage of the chevy over the ford is that the chain and caseĀ is a little shorter so you don't get as much case flex. This can be fixed on the ford version simply by adding in a brace to the front output end of the case much like a 205 had. Biggest thing that trashes these cases is the front to rear stresses.
