Cast head question?
I have a 460 out of a 71 lincoln mark 3. Rated at 365hp. It has the d0ve heads. I want to replace everything on the heads. Anyone know of any kits or is it best to piece it together?

If you don't want to find all the parts your self take them to a machine shop you trust and tell them what you want and they can get the parts and set them up for you.

Everything your looking at doing you may be better off getting some SCJ, Edelbrock or TFS Street heads. You'll probably be money ahead with the power you're wanting to make.

Re: Cast head question?
The stock parts are not good for the level of power you are looking to produce.
Factory Valve Sizes in those heads are 2.065 I 1.65 E
Forget about using factory type springs, they are not going to allow you the cam specs needed to reach your goal either.
For the power you're asking for, with the limited compression and displacement you'll need heads to flow in the mid 300's and that's a lot of work and expensive if you can't do the porting yourself. You will have more $$ in them than buying some aftermarket performance heads.
