I would bet on intake and fuel system issues being the hold-up. Everything else is pretty straight forward and shouldn't be a problem.

In talking to Lem and Carrol Carter these 620's to 650's are making somewhere between 1250 and 1350HP. At 611 are a little shy on CID but I pulled stroke out of it on purpose as these truck pullers want to turn rpm. Looking at other sheets on net 7100-7400 seems to be the peak. This one is right at 8000 rpm and the torque is over 900#/ft for 1600 rpm. This tells me she won't choke. Bob Meyers that dyno'd it said for the size of the engine that is the flattest torque band he had seen on a 600 incher.

It's all talk as far as I am concerned until she is in the truck but base on experience it should be very competitive.

Yes the engine should be on the dyno in June. I got distracted by a few other hobbies for a while, but after my Mt Rainier climb in June it will be all about the car.

More vacuum, larger plenum spacer, his up swept headers that will run on engine.

2 weeks. I spoke with Carrol Carter today about the build, he gave us thumbs up. He said thats the best toque he has seen on that CID that high. He said it should be a dream on the track with the torque.

I'm glad it all worked out and it sounds like you more then delivered what your customer wanted!! Sounds like it's going to break some hearts if he does his part!!

Pull Saturday night it made it 60 ft. The unbreakable 2 speed trans is breakable.
