TFS A460 exhaust flange ??

I am confused. I have read that the A460 exhaust flange is not the same as a bbc but that the pattern is. meaning the pattern is the same but the bolt spacing is different. The TFS page says this "..... Standard big block Chevy exhaust flange bolt pattern....") So will a standard BBC flange work on new A460's?

A460 refers to a type of big block Ford cylinder head and there are at least 4 different head brands in the marketplace which can be described as "A460".

The original MOTORSPORT "A460" heads are a slightly wider Chevy pattern, (4.9" between each cylinder exhaust port), because all the exhaust ports are the same.

The EX514 "A460" heads are like those Motorsport heads on the exhaust side.

The IDT "A460" heads use all the same exhaust port exits, (4.9" apart), but, the bolt pattern is squeezed together slightly so they use a Chevrolet 4.84" separation exhaust BOLT pattern.

The TFS "A460" heads use all 4 slightly different configuration exhaust ports, (exhaust valves being 4.9" apart but port exits being 4.84" apart), so the exhaust pattern on those IS the Chevrolet pattern.

Every big block Chevrolet flange I have used needs to be clearanced for A460 spark plug access.

I think the ones from the "Fab Shop" don't.

If you are still in need we have A460 flanges in steel or stainless, one piece or individual.
They are custom made for these heads, BBC are close but need some love to be right. Let me know what you would like and a zip code and I will get you a price.

Welded up a set from Mad Dog, but then cut out the sections between the ports because plug access was nearly impossible

Hmmm. My maddogs were assembled by them but plug access is fine.
