302 block casting #??????

I know it supposed to be e5 engine but this code dont look like any i am familiar with.

Soon as i can get one.

The actual casting number should be down by the oil pan rail.

Given the 2v carb on that motor it may be a non roller block.

I was thinking
85 was a crossover year for non roller
And roller blocks.
Gt Mustangs recieving roller and 4v.
I had never noticed a casting at pan rail before.
We will check.

Non roller stuff was in trucks for longer than 85.

But being a Jasper reman, who really knows what it originally came from? That's a tough call.

Yes sir.
My 90 bronco is roller lifter bore block but flat tappet cam.
My 87 truck engine flat tappet also.

Try and get him to pull intake.
