Lunati Bob Weight
does anyone know if lunati cranks come with an "average" counter weight from the factory?
my bottom end is 2365 grams. going to drop it off at the machinist in the coming days. the crank is obviously been balanced to some weight already. just wondering for future reference if they shoot for a certain weight.
this one is a 4.3 forged unit
for instance, I found callies counter weights theirs to 2350 - 2400 depending on the crank

I believe they are in the average range, but just an fyi on my Lunati 4.6 crank we had to add heavy metal to balance out for the diamond pistons and Oliver billet rods.

I haven't had any reports of heavy metal being needed to balance that shaft.
Re: Lunati Bob Weight
just to post in case any one has a similar question later.
my bob weight was 2365
my crank needed 25 out of the front and 11 out of the back.
so it looks like it was balanced to ~2400 grams from Lunati.
so basically a very easy balance (two half in diameter holes and it was within a gram on each end)
so Lem was correct, no metal sticks needed.

I've balanced a ton of Lunati BBF cranks, and none of them have needed heavy metal.
