Anyone know what this block came out of # DOVE A2B , last three numbers mean , also on the block is a cast # 101 ? cheers all.

A 1970, (or up to a year later), passenger car.
The last three numbers are engineering changes made to the original print for how that block is manufactured or used.

The 101 is just a mold number, what makes a Dove a block special is 4 bolt caps

I've seen a ridiculous number of cylinder blocks and engineering revisions, but I've never seen a D0VE-A2B. Are you sure it's not D1VE-A2B? There are several differences between the D0 and D1 cylinder blocks, so double check those cast-in characters, please.

Hi, I stand corrected, yes it is a D1VE block, got a bit confused as I have a DOVE block as well , which is now sold , many thanks .
