valleydawg wrote: I made 2 short pulls to break in the rings, make sure everything was ok etc. and then seven full pulls. Best pull was 1000 hp on motor at 7200. That was with the air at 99-100 and remember this is a nitrous motor not a pure hp motor. I was not even thinking about it being hot! With good air the thing should go 1050 maybe. I wanted to spray the motor just to see if Speedtech’s 100 hp set up is really 100 hp and so on. With 150 shot the motor made 1141. I am pretty happy with the results. I was hoping for 1000 and got a couple hp to spare.
I could not believe all the tension/nervousness that I was feeling that morning. I sure didn’t expect any of that. The whole plan has been for the motor to be strong enough for around 450 -500 on the juice…man do I have a surprise for the little red car…hope she is up to it!
I will post my day at the dyno later. I had a good screw up that you will like.
I doubt that those numbers will improve much with good air, maybe even get a bit worse ... with good air it SHOULD be the same. That IS what the correction factors are all about, unless you are quoting OBSERVED numbers.

Ok you may be right and probably are. Charlie said something about this earlier. Being my first time on the dyno I didnt know about corrected numbers but I see what you are saying now. Maybe the 1000 was corrected. I did see where the air was 100 on one pull and made the statement it would go 50 more in good air. He didnt say anything and maybe he just thought that dumb a$$. I have e-mailed him the question. I started to tell everyone around here that is asking that it made 1050 in good air...glad I stuck with the 1000. Randy
