These would fit. They are Moroso valve covers.

I have 3 sets of the ford covers and they all require a different amount of grinding . Some will have to be welded on the out side to work.

Thanks Randy. I take it the grinding is done up near the top? I don't have the covers or the heads handy to look at. Is it because the cover tapers towards the top?

The grinding has to be done at the bottom area . The bolt bosses in the valve cover cause most of the clearance problem along with the changed valve angle of the p-51. Just be sure the valves are closed when checking.
I would say any valve cover that has thick bosses will have to be checked especially the sheet metal type with tubes welded in them. I personally would recommend the ford covers because you can weld the valley (tube) up and grind plenty of clearance and use a short Allen bolt or what ever your choice of fastener is. If you have to remove the lower part of a tube on a sheetmetal cover its going to be weak.

What Randy said. Seeing where I had to grind you still may have trouble with the sheetmetal covers. FRPP covers you may have to weld on, but they will fit. Cheers Colin.

Thanks guys. I talked to Lem earlier. There are no FRPP covers available at all. FRPP is out of them at the moment. Looks like I'll get a set of the Trick Flows instead. I thought I found a set local but they were the stamped steel variety.

I got the spacers off of e-bay a few years ago. I dont remember who the seller was. I still had to grind a little on the spacer to clear a valve spring, but they were cast pretty thick. It wasnt a big deal.
And holy crap , I definately didn't pay as much as that auction is asking, at that point it would be cheaper to get some new polished aluminum tall covers.
