How much do you bore out of an A460 block @ 4.600"?

Does anyone know how much weight is added from the stock bore size pistons to the new bore size pistons? Then we could figure out the total weight change.

Reverse engineering all the surfaces of a block would be a real PITA. I've had the idea to work something up for 460 block lightening, but there's so many hours in a day, lol.

FYI, you will lose 6 lbs by milling off the engine mount pads.

same year I graduated high school..............

I butchered my D1 in 1993 and then the A460 I have now. I think I took 12 lbs off the A460 so far.

And the block in Phillip's T/D thing if done that way.....and them some.
I know what you are saying...there is a a lot more to get....only so many so many hours in the day.
I've see an A460 block that has been thru the LSM program...it was stupid thin in places that did matter much and left places that could have been totally eliminated. We should talk some time.

I have seen several posts on here over the years about "lightning up" the block but how much weight can you take off before you affect the strength of the block?
