racepak graph
Ok so looking at my racepak graph I learned the following. I need more convertor and more gear.
2 step was set at 4600 but only stalled to 4100. By the time I got to 5600 rpm I was 1.29 secs into the run, so almost 60ft out.
I shifted at 7650 and rpm dropped to 6033 rpm and I went thru the traps at 7168 rpm. My shift point was just before the 330ft mark.
There is about a 400 rpm difference between my engine and drive shaft at the end of my run.
I talked to comp cam today and they said my power band is 5600 to 8000 rpm.

If you get a converter for engine only....do one that'll go to 6,000 rpm or more on the 'hit' and shit will happen
As far as "comp" saying that the power band is up to 8,000 rpm......only on the 'hose' i.m.o.

I hear you guys on the spray, but I want to enjoy the car a little before I go into having to worry about all the stuff thats goes into spraying a car with nos. Ive never used it before and its alot to learn and we all know I can ask for help but who says it will be the right help. I'd hate to trash my motor so soon by mistake and not get to enjoy it.
I will spray the car for sure, but Ive never been this fast before and I'd like to get use to it first on motor. not to mention I believe a got alot left in this car on motor, atleast enough to have a pretty good time until Im ready to spray. It would definitely be cheaper to just hit it with spray right now, but Im willing to pony up the cash to see how fast I can go on all nuts first

Yes I agree, I will definitely get a 6000 stall atleast. As far as comp cam I guess I will have to see. I didnt want to show this rookie mistake but on 1 of my passes I absoluetly forgot to shift And bounced of the rev limiter at 8000 rpm. Looking at my racepak graph it pulled hard and straight up to 8000 rpm with no problem untill it hit limiter. The other blip u see down the track is me accidently down shifting at about the 1000ft mark oops.
Thx to everyone for the advice. It is definitely welcomed.

Glad too see you got it to the track. Sounds like you are making progress. I agree w/what u are saying about taking it slow and getting use to the car. There will be plenty of time for the spray later. Congrats brother.

went to track today with vids
passes from no et at milan dragway. I swapped out convertors. I removed tight convertor (4000) stall and in went the 6000 stall coan convertor A70maverick so kindly sent me to try out to see if it would work out for me.
Well I did drop my 60ft time down to mid 1.20's and mph went up to 153 out the back door. As you will see in videos Im getting alot of tire spin off the line. And I think im gonna need more gear in the car as I am still only trapping at 7200 rpm now and my rpm drops at shift point from 7600 rpm to 6100/6200 rpm. vids below advice welcomed.

I have quite a few issues going on to keep it from its full potential. For starters Im running a 1250 dominator and Im positive it would very much like a 1450 atleast

I am up by Lansing, and just may have a 1450 available in the very near future if you wanted to see the difference before a purchase.
