This argument is crazy............. You run the Dove's until you get to the point you need X number of hp. if you can port your own heads and can make the X hp then you keep the money in your pocket.
If you can't port your own heads, then you weigh the cost of paying someone to port them and add in all the cost of the oversize valves, and make an economical decision against the Eddy's. At that point if I couldn't port I would probably go the Eddy route..............

No it wasn't faster. My ahead deal went 7.86 after it was sorted out. The dove headed motor was funner because the expectations were less and if it broke you didn't have to cut off a limb to fix it. It was worry free.
