no oil pressure on startup

no oil pressure on startup
so my 521 when i leave it sit for 1 hr or longer when i start it my oil pressure guage does not move off zero for 5-10 seconds so i thought guage than tested with a diff gauge and same thing any ideas? i had my oil pan off and pickup tube off i wonder if the gasket between pump and pickup tube is no good? sucking air

I have had that problem one time before I didn't have the pickup tube gasket in right pulled the pan and fixed the gasket and my problem went away

That and the oil is draining back to the pan from the pump for some reason.

so i pulled engine this afternoon and pulled pan. turns out when i had the engine out and put the pickup tube on the gasket got folded somehow on the pickup tube to the oil pump .. "sucking air "

That's what happened to me but it was in a 4wd and I had enough room to get the pan off
