KEEP in mind Dave, is we did those heads at least 17 yrs ago. Tech was a little behind back then.

I'm guessing in the 650 hp and 590 tq range on race gas, add about 30 hp and 25 tq if using alky?

dfree383 wrote:Hears what the heads ended up flowing. As you can see a quality performance valve job is worth its weight in gold, I have not touched the intake ports except for the valve job. The valve job that was on these appeared to have only 2 angles and a sharp ridge, but the portwork itself looked rather nice. Lesson here is you get what you pay for in a valve job cost of the valve job $225
it should also be noted the intake valves on the befor did not have a backcut and the after numbers java a light backcut Nd that is also contributing to the excelent intake flows.
intake before valve job / after valve job.
.100 75 / 75
.200 143 / 169
.300 221 / 260

.600 349 / 384
.650 356 / 388
.700 358 / 391
exhaust before, after number are affected by a big ridge that need to be blended out, I'll post numbers after I get after them as the after numbers with the ridge where about the same as before. I expect improvements into the low 200's after I finish blending them.
.100 55
.200 119
.300 167
.400 186
.500 186
.600 188
.700 190
Guys,
Freelander was like a kid on Christmas when he flowed that first intake port and saw the numbers jump. He was running around the shop doing cartwheels...
I'm curious to see what the end result is. Did you get around to blending the exhaust bowl yet?

Re: Project Cheap Skate - Revision 1
The cartwheels may be from sippin left over miricle water.
As for not finishing the exhast side, he's been too busy making sure I don't screw up my new motor.

I'll say 700 hp/550tq depending on what carb you end up using...........she's going to want rpm............

Re: Project Cheap Skate - Revision 1
Dave, is your block .030 or .060? Earlier you said it was .060 and now you list at .030. Either way, with that cam and flow numbers (it will obviously change after you fix the exhaust side) with a .030 block DD2000 gives you 666hp @ 6000 and 633tqe @ 5000. A .060 block gives you 666hp @ 6000 and 639tqe @ 5000. These numbers are on large tube headers and 1150 dommy.
Now put those heads on my .030 bottom end and solid roller cam, and it comes up with 688hp @ 6500 and 621tqe @ 5000 with the cam intalled 2* advanced.

It's .030 the other one I was going to use is .060. What about 2" headers and a 1050?

Re: Project Cheap Skate - Revision 1
Whoops, let me go back and fix my numbers. I forgot that your cam was a solid flat and not a roller. Big change there!!!! Now that it's all right, with the 1050 and 2" open headers, it shows 643hp @ 6500 and 596tqe @ 5000. Going back up to the 1150 and 2 1/8" headers it just moves you to 647hp/598tqe.
Get me better exhaust numbers and I'll plug it in for you again.

Don't have one, you got one to try? Won't be for awhile, no time to dyno and still need to finish it.
