Been a while since I've been in here.Time to update this thread. Did some shakedown passes last month. Overall I'm very satisfied on the times and especially the mph. Just got it to get it to hook now.The Hoosier QTP's didn't fare to well with this set up, they worked good with the old 468. Next time out I'll have some ET Drag's on her.

Yep still got em. As a matter of fact I will be getting them taken off and the ET Drags installed today.
The QTP's have 40 passes on them and maybe 30 miles of street driving.

Re: My build, my Fox transformation....lotsa pics
Been awhile so here's an update.
Time slips from my last time out. Only 2 passes and I shut it down. The ET Drags grew a little and I got some tire rub on the tire face. It put a little groove on the passenger side. Didn't want to destroy a new set of tires. So I spectated the rest of the day. Wheel well work to happen this winter and some suspension mods too. Want to get those 60' into the mid 1.30's or less
I'm car 29

Re: My build, my Fox transformation....lotsa pics
A little update on my suspension dilemma. Got a little educated on stock suspension set up. Thanks to Tony aka yellowhorse7 for all his input and turning me to go see Dave at Team Z in Taylor here in Michigan
The old
The new

The new
Now I got to set pinion angle and get the rear wheels centered. Then I'll probably take it to Team Z and let Dave work his magic
So hopefully this turd will 60 foot better and maybe some 9's will be in my future
Also got some Strange single adjustable 10 setting front struts to install but "MORE FAB WORK" needs to happen so they fit the spindle mounting flange. Going to do a little work on both the rear wheel well lip areas.
Cant wait

Good suspension is key to any stock style Fox chassis working properly. We picked up 3.5 tenths one night just by tweaking the shocks and struts on my buddies Fox. He was impressed to say the least.

Yeah D everything came from Dave. His prices are comparable to Jegs and Summit plus you have no shipping. He has the struts listed at $119 each. I got a discounted package deal He's an alright guy

Not much other than getting all my new suspension parts on. The front strut tabs on the spindles had to be machined. Had to remove about 1/4" of material from each so the new struts would fit them. I'm being told thats what needs to be done on 86 model years and down if your using OEM spindles. Put some 14" 165lb front springs on, installed a line lock, rear push/pull type shut off by the license plate area, some wheel well work, found 50 lbs to take off the car. Just waiting for Dave at Team Z to tell me when to take my car over so he can scale it, plot the suspension, make sure what I did is correct and give me his seal of approval. Had Dan-O make me some stickers.
This one's for Blake
This one's for my bud Dominic who has done ALOT of fab work for me

How was the install with the team z stuff? Everything fit like a glove? I'm thinking about his reas suspension system for my 86.

Yeah Dave it was a piece of cake.....quite easy actually. Don't know if you've gone to his website but he has some real good video's there and they're free .
I just want to get the car over to him now and make sure I got everything right....which I'm sure it isnt cause I need to be in the seat while all the adjustments are made. He (Dave at Team Z) tells me I'm probly in the ball park but we're gonna make sure its right. He's kind of backed right now which is a good thing.
