Re: My new 528 combo
Well i got the headers 100% done tonight and got the brackets made and welded in for the motor plate, and got the engine bolted in place. I need to make the spacer for the trans crossmember bushing tomorrow and weld that in then will have the fun task of building the oilpan. Hoping to have all the mock up done by 10pm tomorrow night.

Re: My new 528 combo
Just talked to Rich a little bit ago, things are looking good. Heads have been flowed and I am happy with the numbers we had to stick with the 2.300/1.88" valves but Rich has got the numbers flowing better than the CNC'ed 360's and mine were tested on a smaller bore. Camshaft has been selected and Rich was taking that over to the machine shop to check valve relief clearances and then it should be coming together soon. I am so excited! It took some work on Rich's part but if everything works out the gearing that is already in my truck will stay there and this will be one bad mofo out of the hole!

Re: My new 528 combo
This thing has been fighting us the whole way and they sent out the wrong rings last week but should be here monday. I am feeling racing withdrawals but know it is gonna be amazing once we get it together. The pistons needed work due to the heads being modified but that is all done.

Re: My new 528 combo
I'd like to, or maybe May 26th, I want to get out a couple times befor June 23rd.
Re: My new 528 combo
Thats my plan as of right now, I would like to get atleast three days of testing in before the trip to TN. How much I can get done will depend on how many weekends I have to work. Things are getting tight though.

Re: My new 528 combo
Converter was ordered last weekend, should be here monday, got some care packages last week, spent $180 on fuel system fittings this morning and $300 on headstuds, borrowing Barney's extra ignition box. Should have fuel system plumbed tomorrow night and engine in tuesday and gonna test on fathers day!

Re: My new 528 combo
Its ok Jim we got new ones. I got the truck wired today and brackets made for new fuel system, doesn't souund like much but I am picky about my wiring so it took a bit. Gonna plumb it tomorrow night and put trans together Tuesday. Planning on putting engine in Thursday and fire it then testing on Fathers day. Things are right down to the wire but hopefully I will get r done.

Re: My new 528 combo
It's plumbed and wired other than the taillights, I have a pile of transmission parts sitting in the bed of it, but it's coming together. The trans will be done tomorrow night. Been having wierd clutch wear issues so I am gonna tighten up my clearances this time. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
