By the looks of it I think I am just going to work all winter long. I don't see many days off in my future...

Installing some new lighting in the shop this week. The new High Bay Floresents, these little babies put out 300% more lighting that my old ones. Cost me a grand for 6 lights and a box of 40 bulbs, but I got tired of not being able to see. Got to do a engine for Tore and have it done in a couple of months, so I gotta see better.

I like them new light too we just had them put up at work they put out more light than the big 1000w lights and 8' flour lights we had plus they say it will cost a lot less to run them than the old lights ours are all 480vt but the guy said they come in 120vt and 240vt.
Hoping to get the 552 built for the ranger going saturday to drop the block and rotating assy off at the mechine shop.

If the bulbs last as they say they will you will never have to change a bulb if you bought extra they might get busted before you use them You will love the light they put off if you getting like me getting hard to see without alot of light.

Re: What is everyone's winter plans???
Info on the bulbs say 20,000 burning hrs continuous. What I like about them is,when 1 goes out,it doesn't affect the others.

Re: What is everyone's winter plans???
Fired my junk up last Sunday. Hmmm, lets see: new crank, new cam, new trans, new rear end, rebuilt hedders and exhaust system. That should about do it. EXCEPT for the crappy weather thing. Car goes on the alignment rack for the yearly check-up next Wednesday. AND, if it dont go, at least it sounds good............

Well let me change this alittle did sale the piston and eagle i-beam rods but kept the rest did build new engine 552 and kept the 460.I change gears to 4.30 now changing the fuel system to Ron's Fly Tolit. The frontend swap will be next winter and the painting the F250 as it stands right now.

Re: What is everyone's winter plans???
get my trans changed out and get the pg put in and might go ahead and change the frontend out to a strut frontend, the engine only has 1 pass on it the old c6 gave up the ghost and went to slipping on that pass so no engine changes. Might go ahead and buy some new tires if I don't swap the frontend out.

Re: What is everyone's winter plans???
Car has been 9.70's,6.20's. Hoping to get to 5.80's by spring. I'm going to replace the front end with the AJE kit. I'm going to put drag brakes all the way around. Hopefully find another 100#'s somewhere in the car.(More fiberglass maybe)
I hope to pick up at least 50 hp with head/cam or somewhere. I have to build headers for the AJE kit so I'm thinking to just make the change to the A460's while I'm at it. That would definitely get me to the 5.80 range on na.
Also rewire the car.

Sell the Terminator Kit and a bunch of misc. parts. Put a gas carb back on and back on the street it goes.

Keep racing...deep south, y'know. Gotta put new slicks on the car, it's murdering the ones I have. Maybe some paint on the heap. Otherwise, just chassis tuning and fixing other guys' racecars.

Re: What is everyone's winter plans???
i am in the process of purchasing a 1 acre estate with two 3 car garages and a 15 x 20 shed. both garages are well lit and insulated with gas heat. 1 stall is a paint booth
another has room enough for a 4 post lift. There is enough property to park my 4 car trailers, travell trailer and the motor home.
i have 2 engines to repair and install, then my daughters lawn dart to assemble.
( I only call it an estate because of the garages. worth more to me than the house. lol )

Make lexan windows and install them, seats, radiator, fuel system, get mount made and install parachute, and an ignition box.
