They did a shitty job before, force them to work on it and it wont be any better.


As for voiding a warranty, thats tougher to do than you thnk, they are just trying to run you off. Go fnd another dealer, get it fixed, then go to the bullet......... They will be sorry lol.

there are several problems with me grabbing my balls and showing my ass on there showroom or the service aisle ......... ive tried in the last 6 months to regain there business back as a client , the last guy that was here (CKR )ran them off , so im tring to be very professional with how i interact with these people .... i will wait to see the out come of the ford investigator on mon or tuesday .... they just got me into another rental and they want myself, the tech and the ford engineer to go for a ride ........

Going in there and showing your ass wont get anywhere, has been done at our shop (idiot customer) and it gets you shown the door............we dont have to work on it..........or it will sit on the back 40 lot until we get an open bay.........could be months.......... if you didnt buy it there then your sol.


I'm confused on the FSE having to have a look at it..........personaly a HG job with the cab on is a PITA, not accessable to do a good job.

Lazy tech IMO...............that or the wash bay kid worked on it.

One must be certified in the field to perform warranty work on the truck...........stuff still happens, but looks like the tech is at fault here.

Sorry for your trouble Nick, these are the guys that give all of us a bad rap...........

Definately dont show your ass, but if the decision doesnt go your way just ask for tell them you want opinion from an outside source that has no ties to either of you. Guess what they dont have a choice they have to do it or if you decide to go to court the judge will ask why and if he dont like the answer you win and get your truck fixed and they wont f$$$ with you like that again.We had it happen that they didnt want to warranty the wifes Focus because K&N fiter kit on it Said that we were racing it, what a joke, all they did was open the hood. Filter had nothing to do with the spark plug going through the piston. Anyway not same situation but you get the idea. 3rd party arbitration for a dispute is a part of your warranty and they cant refuse. No Smile

I hear what your saying Nick, its a tough situation.

Is their business worth getting it up the poop chute? I'm not sure I would want any business dealings with a business that treats their customers like that. Also if you give them the keys back they prolly won't want to do business with a "deadbeat loan jumper" anyway, not to mention your credit rating takes a hit for not paying out the truck loan.

Is there anyone higher than the dealer you could talk to? Like I said before, you would think Ford would be jumping through hoops to make you happy. With issues like this most would NEVER consider buying another Ford truck. These are known problems with a huge trail of similar breakdowns.

A lot of the good Diesel Tech's are leaving the business............too much physical pain for little $$$$$

That and the BS we have to go through to get approval on warranty stuff is a damn joke. They had an aftermarket fleet warranty company give the writer fits on getting approval on a 6.4 that needed a hp pump and 2 injectors. After getting grilled they had the guy call me personally, he started in the all the questions....asked me why it needed the stuff..told him straight up "because I'm Fabio and I said it needs it the son of a bitch"........"since your a such smartguy you tell me what the motherf-cker needs" He hung up on me lol.............30 minutes later they called with the approval code...................

Now go watch the clowns throw a ball through a hoop...............I rest my case. Rolling Eyes

I'm honestly suprised some Lawyer hasn't filed a class action lawsuit agains Ford for this kind of BS, it's F'n Thug Tactics to get you to pay of go home........

I was thinking about buying a new truck and now seeing how Nicks getting treated has me thinking twice about it. I will never buy another new Diesel Heavy Duty Truck.

tech just came by with my truck ....npf !!! and there was also no investigator with him as it was discussed ..... i told him i could duplicate the problem ..let me drive Twisted Evil ........ pull straight into traffic and floored it , it came up on boost and boom he heard the problem ......you drive like that all the time he said Twisted Evil ....... i told him put 10,000 pounds behind her and go up this same hill ..... but this time she isnt losing any power but sounds like the exhaust is hitting the fire wall .........

he also ask me why did i call "Ford" ......... to open up a case ..i said why not Surprised

That oversized aftermarket downpipe is hitting the floor................barely enough room for a stock one let alone a 4" unit thats not even needed. Loosen the v clamp on the turbo, pry the pipe over and re tighnen the clamp.

You guys need those exhaust systems shoved up your ass...........................Ford didn't put that crap on there. NowIi know why the "warranty voided" phrase was used.

Its not an excuse for the injector fiacso though.

Put up with it for a while Bruno, and I will sell you mine, 01, 350 crew cab dully, 58,000 miles, oil changed every 5,000 miles since new, it is a very fine truck, I'm going to get me one of the new ones, if the hErO, says they are good to go, when the 2012's come out. Laughing Laughing

I assume the REI plug is a "dummy" plug, there is one more on the other rail, the STC fitting will fail, causing the same problem or a no start warm condition. The IPR failed as a result from dirty thick oil blowing out the screen...............or when the tech did the oil cooler he was not careful and raked dirt into the broken screen under the cooler when he pulled it off.

After you get all that out of the way you have the top seal retaining rings that can break and allow thew seal to fail............X8....and if all the broken bits are not found they get into the oil pan and if not removed it will blow the lp oil pump out the side of the front cover.

After that the FICM will lose power through the internal transistor ans cause problems from a run like shit to a no start.

I can go on............... Very Happy

And Greg its not a matter of that truck being a Lemon, they all have the same possible failures......................hence the reason Ford prolly spend a billion dollars on a different engine program.
