I am leaning more towards having a new cam specified for the engine...problem is...the damn thing is deadly...and money is well, you know how money is. Honestly, if it was not for catching grief from the SBC guys with their 1900# cars and 5.43 gears, I would prolly leave well enough alone...lol.
I'm just not used to having to whip the pony but....It ain't a big deal.
I'm at 32* timing now....ya'll think 36* or so would help matters?
Don't want to get too crazy....Big Money race this weekend......

I think you guys are right about the cam being too much for the heads....The ol' gal just don't feel like "home"....ya' know?

That is the plan....maybe not the 4.86 just yet ....from day to night last weekend....it moved .004 in 60' and .012 to 660'.....from 4500' down to 2900'...on gas.cool40 wrote:i'd run it this weekend as is,then the 4.86 gear would go in
