Re: new project! *progress*
all the paint work was done when i got the car so i dont know.i'd say it was ppg,i know the body has ppg on it.i've been useing some 1.30 a can stuff from the dollar store on parts i've cleaned, semigloss stuff works real good and is tuff too, hell its good as any i've used.the por15 on the rear housing is just bitchen, put on with a brush and looks like glass when its dry. i got the alum drive shaft from the exploder too, took 3"outa it too.jcoxracing wrote:What did you use to paint the dog house? It looks dang good. Keep the pics coming.

Re: new project! *progress*
Lee I know what you are talking about My 69 has a chrome oil pan on it my brother gave me I had use black rtv on it on the ends to make it seal I let it dry and took a razor knife and trimmed it up so it wasn't so noticable. Then the oil plug want to leak I changed to a brass washer to stop the that leak.I sprayed mine with clear to help keep it from rusting i should had went to the junk yard and got one would have been cheaper in the long run.

Nice! My second mustang and "the one I hate getting rid of" was a '68 coupe. Yeah, I know over played but hard to beat that look of the tq thrusts! Maybe some black 18" bullets?

Re: new project! *progress*
i got the e-brake figured out.the cables are off a 02 firebird, lol.i took out the bracket with the cables when i did tail clip a few years ago thinking they'd be handy for a project like this and turns out they were.it hooked up to the factory bar under the car with a little bracket made for the short cable to hook to.it even works! also got the cooling all in,brakes done, drive shaft in,and hung a wheel on for some ideas.its a 17x9.5 with a 275/40,what yall think?

Lee, I also like the T Thrusts. Stay away from any chrome wheels, because that Chinese chrome is shitty in many ways. Can't keep it from rusting thru from underneath and can't keep it from peeling off after time
