Nick,,

A door car than runs 4.90's is nothing to look down upon, especially if it runs that number on nothing but pure muscle. Smile Now then, if it's all jacked up on steroids and runs 4.90's,,,,,I don't have as much respect for it. Evil or Very Mad

Yep, a titanium exhaust valve with a tulip shaped backside will really help. Cool Money? Rolling Eyes

Furthermore, we can change things around to a steep angle valve job,,,,,and in your case it will not be an issue about how long the valve job lasts. Wink

Send the heads and tell me want you want to do. Very Happy

Charlie I have been thinking about loping off the exhaust side and putting on a Price Motorsport raised exhaust port plate.... on the Aluminum heads you could weld them on instead of bolting them. I think it would pick up the exhaust immensly

Bruno
I have been thinking the down fall of the factory type heads is the exhaust so this is what I was thinking is lop off the exhaust port and put a price motorsport plate on them to up the exhaust flow... not your head but on any factory type exhaust head....

thats why the turbo has taken over cubic dollars

bruno you could slap a inverted dome piston in that bad boy change cam put a 91-101 on that bad dog and will make way more power then you could ever imagine at low rpms and wont beat on the block nor parts as hard

you can do that with everything you have now -buy a big stuff 3 sell all your carb stuff

you will make 1500-2000 easy youll never do that n.a or with nos

just giving you options -if you want that bb sound they can make a cam that has that rumble

you all know my combo

600 cubed c-headed motor unported heads and cleaned up lower casting in the intake -628 inch roller with the 1.80 rocker with 11.1 compression

i shift at 6200 and ive gone 9.22@147 n/a @3350,s and with a 250 shot it went 5.52@127 8.642@157 3 passes in a row with 1.28 sixty with a 29.5x10.5 non w

im not changing anything other then cam and mild clean up work on heads and im adding a 106 mm with alky and ill make 1500+ with low boost for way less then what it will cost you bruno to make 1200 if your lucky

Gerry

You bring up a real good point. I feel people shy away from the forced induction stuff due to the initial cost of the EFI, turbo and the fab work involved. You end up spending the same in the end even though you spent it differently during the process...

I sometimes get to where i don't care if I go to the track or not, but the car is payed for and it ain't eating anything, So I just park it and before long I am back ready to run it or do something to it again.

I have never sold any of my cars unless I have another one ready to go. It always cost to much to start over.

Blake you can't do that that makes you a bad person......

I have to work a bunch I only get a few weekends a summer off when the track is open, so I run mine when I can but that makes me a guy that just has to much on his plate... so when I can't run I park it....It is 100% payed for so it cost nothing.......shortly I will have everything I own payed for. I don't live on CC or from paycheck to paycheck like some of these guys do.........

Nick your deal should go a 20 if you would start getting after the fogger.

I'm the same way, my stuff is all paid for, I buy stuff only when I can pay for it......no credit cards or any of that crap. I've owned this car since 87, and made changes to it as the money permits. My problem right now is I'm out of cage...............Maybe next winter while the motor gets a new crank and such I'll cut the top off and redo the cage that's in it.

Food for thought. Guys, what is the reaction time like with those turbo cars? Ask yourself how many turbo cars you see actually winning drag races,,,,,as compared to the N/A cars. How consistent are the reaction times of the drivers of turbo cars? There is no doubt they make big power, but then don't they generally suffer from some kind of weight penalty for having a power adder in many classes?
